Regional results
Physiological parameters can be quantitated from the PET data either pixel-by-pixel, producing parametric images, or regionally from tissue time-activity curves (TTACs).
ROIs drawn on parametric images will provide regional results in the file formats that are usually used to store regional TAC data, and can be further processed using the tools for TAC data.
Results from regional analysis are stored in specific result format (*.res) in Turku PET Centre. These can be processed further using specific tools.
Software for processing result files
- rescoll: collects the regional results from specified PET studies and calculates simple statistics (averages, SDs, medians) between studies. Collected results are saved in HTML table format, which can be easily imported to a spreadsheet program (for example Excel), or viewed in web browser.
- res2html: converts result files to HTML tables, which can be viewed and printed with web browsers, and also easily imported to Excel with correctly aligned data columns; see also parformat.
- resai: computes the asymmetry index (AI) between right and left hemispheres, if the regions are appropriately named.
- resrank: determines the regional order of the specified result parameter.
- reslist: shows on screen the results from a specified region inside the result file.
- parget: shows on screen a single parameter value inside the result file.
- resdel: delete the results of specified region(s) inside result file.
- paradd: insert parameters from one result file into another.
- pardiff: calculate percentage difference between result parameters in two result files (for example receptor occupancy or enzyme inhibition).
- parsort: sort results by region name.
- fit2res: convert fit files into result file format.
- dft2res: convert TAC files into result file format.
- parformat: convert parameter files into other file format.
- rmcmnts: remove the comment lines inside parameter files
- Results in CSV and TSV formats can be transposed with csvtrps.
